We’re strengthening our Business Controller team at Berner and we’re searching for a motivated, self-driven Junior Controller who’s eager to grow in a multi-industry, international, and fast-growing company.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll team up with an experienced Business Controller and dive into a wide range of management accounting tasks. Your days will revolve around monthly reporting, profitability calculations, and producing all kinds of analyses and reports. You’ll also play an active role in developing our Power BI reporting, working hand in hand with our business teams and our experienced Business Controlling crew.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with a relevant commercial or commercial-technical background (e.g. M.Sc. in Economics or M.Sc. in Engineering). You can be wrapping up your studies or have already graduated. We expect you to bring some prior experience in finance or data related roles to the table.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Excellent Excel skills, especially for handling large datasets
- Power BI experience is a strong plus
- A self-starter mindset, sharp attention to detail, and a solution-oriented approach
- Great communication skills and a get-it-done attitude
- Fluent Finnish and excellent English skills, as those are our working languages.

Flexible setup
We’re open to different ways of making this work, depending on where we find the best fit:
- Option A: One full-time, fixed-term role running until approximately August 2027, starting in August 2026. In this setup, you’ll work across several of our business units.
- Option B: Two part-time roles:
- Role 1: Part-time (2-3 days a week), starting in August, running until approximately the end of 2026, supporting our medical and laboratory business unit.
- Role 2: Starting part-time (2-3 days a week) until the end of 2026, then continuing full-time from the beginning of 2027 until approximately August 2027. Focus on our industrial and agricultural business units.
